On June 9 and 10, 2018 the Canadian Kennel Club held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) and hosted two days of seminars presented by Avidog International's Dr. Gayle Watkins, with guest speaker Dr. Laurie Larson from University of Wisconsin's Companion Animal Vaccine and Immuno Diagnostic Service Laboratory (CAVIDS).
The seminar topics included "
The Boys We Love: Raising, Managing and Using a Stud Dog” and “Timing Your Breedings: From Beginning to End” with Dr. Gayle Watkins. On Sunday afternoon, we had an interactive session with small animal immunology expert Dr. Laurie Larson of the University of Wisconsin about how vaccine antibody testing can be helpful to your breeding program.
After a weekend that included 12 hours of breeder-focused education with small animal immunology expert, Dr. Laurie Larson, DVM, from the University of Wisconsin and brand new content from Dr. Gayle Watkins of Avidog International, as well as meeting Canadian breeders, fellow Avidog students, and having the amazing opportunity to talk with Gayle over drinks and dinner, I came home very enthusiastic and refreshed - ready for our upcoming breeding!
