I'm pleased to say I earned my Avidog Certification as a Breeder Associate recently! What does that mean? It means that I am committed, and trained to:
Work on developing every puppy in the litter, helping it to be the best it can be. This goes for competition dogs, family pets and breeding dogs, equally.
Carefully select our puppies’ parents, focusing heavily on health and temperament - thanks to the Ameri-Can Stabyhoun association for their incredible expertise in our breed, and the database of health and pedigree information, we have great support in this!
Take special care of our girl Intske prior to and during pregnancy to help her pups handle stress better, by:
providing optimal nutrition
keeping her in excellent physical condition
providing enrichment to her daily life
limiting her stress
Provide neonatal care that will set the foundation for our puppies’ lifetime health and temperament
Create an enriching environment for our pups, from 3 weeks of age until they go home, in order to develop their brains and bodies
Intensely socialize our pups, being sure they meet a minimum of 50 different people before they go to their new homes
Create developmental opportunities for our puppies that will set them up for a lifetime of engagement with people
